It is first a collection of symbols for most people in a hierarchical search algorithm after they are lost. Pattern matching. This exposes an inherent brain function.

I could see this being used in a test where a key word is chosen so that it is ambiguous with regard to the middle letters and a reader has to report the meaning but actually has made a choice of meanings.

I had a question like that removed once. To explain, it's because we need a common ground to agree on things. A traffic light is red and we all have to agree red is red and you do not run a red light. Words are words and they have a history. English is a beautiful language and it's not a question of whether your sentence is readable. It's a question of who would want to read it? The written word is a translation of the spoken word. If you spoke like that, you would sound retarded. And vice-versa. Someone that does not know the difference between "their", "they're" and "there" is not someone I would think is very bright. I agree that is prejudicial because that person may well be bright, just not with language. Nevertheless, that's how that person would come across. And it doesn't matter how the person comes across to me, because I'm not hiring them. But good writing skills may lead to a well paying job. So that is one reason to respect the English language. English has evolved over time. It is a shame to see it devolve, as it is doing in this day and age.

The phenomenal power of the human mind, according to a research at Cambridge University, it doesn't matter in what order the letters in a word are, the only important thing is that the first and last letter be in the right place. The rest can be a total mess and you can still Read it without a problem. This is because the human mind does not Read every letter by itself, but the word as a whole. Amazing huh? yeah and I always thought spelling was important!

OK smart aleck, I know you are ROFL right now at your own cleverness and yes I can understand your sentence, but for all the time it took you to construct it, you could have had it done sooner if you spelled it all correctly and I wouldn't have had to use my brain cells as much if I didn't have to reconstruct it in my own head.

Bottom line.....It is a joy to read without have to re-spell everything and how would you like it if you picked up the newspaper and every other word you read was misspelled??????

as you can see, the 1st and last letters are in their right position.
and every word still has the letters it needed to form the word you want to say.
spelling is important because some words only differ from another by a letter. If you want to express yourself better, make your spelling great.
