Quick hair fix, use a rinse on your hair. A rinse is a nonchemical dye that you can apply on top of the dye that you have. You can also use a rinse with relaxed or permed hair, very safe and healthy. I prefer henna rinse, this adds color while deep conditioning, you can find this rinse at your nearest sally's beauty supply, for a cheap price, approx 5.99. ..... if henna does not have the right shade of brown there are plenty other rinses at sallys that you can try.

The last time I messed up my hair color, I had my best friend (a licensed beautician) use a semi-permanent professional color (Paul Mitchell), which counter-acted the color and brought back my original tone. You can have highlights put in, but I recommend having it professionally done since you are lightening really dark hair. They have a process that will keep the highlight from turning orange or discolored. If you use a box, you are running the risk of having discolored highlights, and if you are unhappy with your hair right now, imagine it with the wrong highlights. Good luck!

Wait, live with it for at least three months. You can do alot of damage to your hair by double coloring it, to close together. At least wait as long as you can, and in the mean time give your self a few hot oil treatments and use some really good conditioner

Use a very light brown hair color to loosen the very dark color. May have to do it a few times.

get high light put in. But don't do it yourself. Have a hairstylist do it. They really do know what they are doing.

Dye it blonde.
It will lighten it, but not turn it blonde.
