go to michaels.com, they have a part of the site that's dedicated to weddings. You can make your invitations at home for really cheap. They sell everything you'll need and they give u plenty of ideas. I think they even have a special section dedicated to the ideas and looks.

You should create a wedding invitation that speaks to heart of each person that you plan to send it to.. When they read it they immediately say, yes..how beuatiful, I must go!
Try Papyrus.com - the best in wedding invitations.
Since you have a budget, work with it. David's Bridal does invitations, not-to-mention the local bridal boutiques.
Be creative, but keep it simple. You will find the perfect invitation - that reflects you and your fiance.

Not sure where you live but I have found theknot.com to be very helpful for everything, including invitations. They can get catalogs sent to you for you to look at when you are ready to buy and get ideas. I have about 15 catalogs that I am saving for when I am ready to buy but they are all great. Some for you to look at:
seasonsbydawn.com
wedding-country.com
invitationsbydawn.com
destination-romance.com
theamericanwedding.com
AnnsWedding.com
rexcraft.com
willowtreelane.com
now-and-forever.com

on your PC print out single sided invites.... the basic info and mail in plain white envelopes.... you should be able to get 4 invites per page........ keep it simple , buy already printed copy paper from say, Office Depot..... or you could go with pretty post cards, 1/2 the cost of sending envelopes...... God bless

Michaels and A.C. Moore always have 40% off coupons you can use for their printable (and beautiful) invitations. They normally run about 20- 30, but then you use your coupon!

try Michaels, Staples, etc. They have do it yourself kits that are much cheaper than ordering. Or, if you or someone in your family does calligraphy you can do them yourself. Also do a websearch, there are tons of things you can do. Print on vellum then attach it to a piece of cardstock in one of your wedding colors with a bow.

well if you can write in caligraphy you can order blank white cards and write it in yourself, depending on how big your wedding is.
