im a single gal and ive never felt more content and happy. i feel more focused on my goals and im more confident. am i selfish?

Hey, i am a teen, and im sooo content with being single. although, at my age, you can have a "girlfriend" or "boyfriend" and just hold hands at school, not going on an actual date, and then "break up" a day l8r. i dont want to date, cause y should i spend what could be the best yrs of my life in pain and suffering?? anyway, i know a lot of people who are happy being single, but that doesnt mean i want a bf in the future. i do, just not right now. and for the "am i weird" thing, i cant say if you're straight,bi, or asexual, but it doesnt really matter. you're who you are. be happy!!!!!! :)

Being selfish isn't necessarily a bad thing, as long as you can take some time out to do something nice for other people. You should be proud of yourself for going after what you want and not letting a man stand in your way. You get the Rio Madeira Seal of Approval!

no, not at all, watever anyone tells you, relationships are a pain in the butt, be happy for being single, im single by choice because rite now i only want to be focusing on 2 things
golf
and school
relationships just get in the way of everything you like to do...

Ofcourse your not weird. When your ready to settle down then you will. Your setting your life goals in motion, that is not selfish it is responsible. When Mr. Right comes along you will settle down but you will also be your own woman & be happier for it.

no it's ok to feel this way....but make sure that your actualy happy and not in a comfort zone....You don't want to become the weird neighbor that everybody makes up stories about....lol Anyways, God made women for a reason, and it's not to be ignored...
