The next time you are at the supermarket, look whats inside someone's shopping cart. Do you see a lot of junk food? Then look at them....are they overweight?

Has anyone ever noticed that?

Yes it is very easy to tell what a person is like from what is in their carts. For example, if one was to look in my cart, one would find that it would be easy to see that I have kids. For lunches I buy boxed fruit juice, granola treats, yogurt, and applesauce as well as fresh fruit. However we are also a healthy bunch. Our cart is full of healthy snack choices. Rarely one would see chips, pop, and junk foods in my cart.

I notice, but I never say a word. I can tell when someone is buying for a party or catering, or when someone just wants to give their 8 kids Count Chocula and tons of junk. I buy cookies maybe once every two months. If anyone looks at me strangely it's for the liquor in the cart, which I'm using for cooking only. I mean really. I do my errands in the morning at 6 a.m., so what if I'm buying brandy, vodka, and whiskey?

Not true! I am a chef with a bakery & catering business and buy food for others that I would never eat myself. I am a simple vegetarian and don't touch the stuff in my cart. I have had many people nose into my cart and say things about the contents...it's actually very rude. There are more reasons for being overwieght or underweight than what they injest. If what you say is true, than can I assume that someone with a home pregnancy kit in thier cart is a whore? or a box of douche has a smelly crouch? Be nice the person in front of you may be buying for the church, a school, or a shut in, or his or her family or nieghbors. You don't know and it really isn't your business.

This would explain why people keep looking inside my cart. I find it very nosy to be honest. I really don't need to look in someone shopping basket to see if they are fat or not - you can see it like that.

YES! I am observant by nature and I always look at what other people have, and most of the time it's depressing. Nothing containing any nutritional value.
