sometimes i do feel pain, but my friend told me that it's normal, is that so?

What's the normal indication that I've done a great workout and my muscle is growing?

well, it depends on what kind of pain and how much. But yes, when they say "no pain no gain" it means that.

Although it is not uncommon for this to happen, it might pay to eat something during your workout because feeling like jelly could indicate that you have a low blood/sugar level and you will burn more calories and improve muscle tone if you have the energy to sustain the workout without turning to jelly.
