I have heard men say they want a sweet nice girl when they settle down but they don't really know how to relate to one is this true are they destined to be with women who manipulate them rather than a woman who would appreciate them for who they are? Do men really fall more for looks than personality?

this is a tough one and I guess men could ask women the same question. In my opinion, I want a nice, sweet, ambitious, caring, athletic, sweet, optimistic, sexy, woman that knows herself and appreciates herself first. It would be awesome to meet someone that has similar interests but chemistry is really a huge part. I've know couples that have absolutely nothing in common but the chemistry is so magnetic that they make a beatiful couple. You never know where to find the great ones. I've been holding out for quite some time and I refuse to settle. The only thing I continue to do is increase my chances of meeting the girl I want by getting involved in social circles that she might be a part of. Currently I am really involved in running so I joined a local running group that has frequent social events and maybe I will meet my ideal mate in the near future. Ofcourse, the love bug can hit you at any time and you never know where she might pop up. You just have to use the information you have and make the best decision with what you have. If it doesn't work out then you learn from your mistakes and move forward. Life is about the search for happiness not the failure of past attempts. Appreciate who you are, where you are, and always strive in the search for greater things with the gifts and talents that god has given you.

Men mostly want someone who is nice and does not NAG them. Those ones are marriage potential. Sure they want to hook up with the nice looking ones, but I personally look for a nice, and wonderful woman to marry. Looks fade over time, and if you are not careful as a guy you will have a formerly hot babe that is now crazy, taking half your stuff, and making you pay child support while they live in your house. So the smart guys go for niceness any day of the week! A mean and manipulative woman will ruin your life.

They may want a wild girl for awhile to party with but it all boils down to whether you want to live with the person for the rest of your life. That is why a lot of men settle down with nice girls because they're people with whom the men can have long, lasting relationships. You don't usually get those with partygirls, etc.

only the fools fall for looks, not personality. and looks being more like, do her boobs look good.
the smart ones go for the combination of looks confidence, and personality.
as for the men who say they want a nice girl to marry, they're usually saying they want a wholesome, uncorrupted girl that won't go out partying with other guys. they just want a puppy to be at home for them. the reason they don't know how to relate to them is because they're probably used to fast women & fast love, therefore, they don't know about how a decent relationship works.

Men are attracted to appearances just for starts, but as the relationship continues it is about personality and interests.
They want a sweet, independent, strong woman who thinks he is the star of the show. These are the ones they marry.

Men want a nice girl who is a freak in the bedroom. They don't want to marry the girl who has slept with half the neighborhood and they don't want to marry a girl who is manipulative. Men want someone who is their best friend, lover, and soulmate.

In general, men often choose a girl who is pretty ( maybe not beautiful), gentle, know how to cook, serious ... to be his wife because If he choose a beauty who doesn't know how to cook, how to earn money or how to take care of children, but she only knows how to go spend or how often to go to the beauty salon... Do you think men can have a happy family with such that kind of girl ?

Most men live by double standards..... they want the PLAY MATE of the year then Betty Crocker....... they cant have both..... they call us ugly names while they date us and then want the *nice girl* to marry......... We are stupid. Women take advantage of us because they can. Funny thing is that they are stupid too. They may be smart enough to manipulate us into buying them a $1500 purse and we may be stupid enough to fall for it, but they are stupid enough to think that a $1500 purse is going to somehow make life better.

that's incorrect on both area to obviously stare at someone that they imagine is sexually captivating. notwithstanding that's no longer merely Mexican adult males doing it. some American adult males do it as well. honestly, adult males are not those doing it. Immature little boys in man or woman bodies are doing it. unhappy to say, American women human beings(cough cough) do it as well. Now if those adult males were married adult males i recognize appearing like that, i does no longer so properly remind them that they are married.
