I told him if we were not in love after 5 yrs, its pretty much me being used for sex and I didnt want to engage in that kind of a relationship. We were in the car coming home from dinner when he asked me if I would like to watch a porn video with him. Does he think I am stupid or what?

1) He thinks you are kidding (and you are NOT)
2) If you watch some porn, your position will softena nd you will want the sex (again, see #1)
3) He doesn't fully grasp the seriousness of your statement, so you'll have to reiterate for his benefit, at whichpoint, he will remark, "Hey, you WEREN'T kidding."

If you are not comfortable with the idea of being intimate with this guy after five years, what are you still doing together? I see nothing wrong with wanting to wait but you need to think about what it is you are waiting for. The courage, trust, whatever it is, you need to share this with your significant other. Together, I'm sure you can come up with the answer that is right for you both.

Then leave. I don't understand, if you know you are being used for sex then why are you still there? He does think you are stupid if you have been with him for 5 yrs. and there is no love but he still gets some. You need to leave b/c that does not make any sense to me.

wow 5 years u must have lots of good foreplay then to be able to hold over for that long
and I think someone who wants sex after 5 years of being with u is only normal how long are u expecting him to wait?
someone must have really hurt u when it comes to intimacy and leaving u.
its cool to wait don't get me wrong but thinking someone is using u after waiting 5 years without any is kinda crazy

Why are you wasting your time with this guy if after 5 years you were not in love with him? Second after 5 years and he is getting no action i am surprised he is still with you...The way i see it you guys are both wasting your time with each other and need to move on!!!!

Are those different women folk smiling in a flirtatious way or in a "awww, look on the little previous guy" way??? Dont imagine you may purely have all of us you want.... and definite that is devious... perhaps confer with your spouse.... if she isn't interested in having sex perhaps she will evaluate an "open" marriage...

OK I'm confused. You feel he is only using you for sex. You say you don't want to be treated that way then you still hang out with him. Seems to me your not doing what you say.

I think that if you are not in love, you should break up. It doesn't matter if you do or do not have intimacy, but a matter of love. I hope that helps!

5yrs? Intimacy means so many things on so many different levels......intimate conversation, kissing, romance...........interesting. Well, whatever floats your boat I give you props I guess, I know I could not go 5yrs without any form of intimacy.....might as well be single.
