Don't lead him on to believe there is even a tiny chance for more than friendship. Try honesty, but try not to be cruel. Although, sometimes that's how it has to happen. Anyway, here's the advice, bring up to him, how guys flirt with you and how you tell them you're not interested, in anything more than friendship with them.
Or tell him that how you tell them you're trying to focus on you right now, this should work. This is the indirect approach.
If he can't take the hint, and approaches you again. Pull out ole honesty. He should understand, but be careful of how you let him down. Some people turn crazy if they're rejected.

you're pretty sure about this are you? Suppose the kid is telling the same story to his freinds??if your freinds, then it should be really simple, in casual conversation say that your not interestesd in any relationships (don't fret, your a woman, you can change your mind at any time). Or if your a real freind, just tell him your not interested.
