No footwear, or anything else is issued to you during or after the physical. It can take either half a day (till noonish), or till the afternoon (it starts around 6 am). Just depends on how many people are getting the physical, problems that might come up with your physical, and other random events.

If you mean MEPS, it depends. There's a lot of sitting and waiting between exams, but the exams themselves are quick. What kind of special footwear are you talking about? You won't get combat boots or anything like that until you're in bootcamp/basic training.

TONS of sitting and waiting. Bring a good book or something, because you'll be there for a while.
