I've seen many Muslims here misquote the Bible, then write what the Koran says. Why don't they study the Bible before quoting it?
If I were to try to refute something in the Koran, I would study everything the Koran says about the topic, not pick one verse to analyze.

And Vice Versa- Why do people misquote the quran?

Because Muslims believe that the Torah and the Bible were actually the Koran, but Jews and Xtians corrupted it and the Qur'an that Allah gave to Mohammed (please excuse my spelling mistake) is the purest one. They believe that the Torah, Bible, and Qur'an are all the same basic message but that it was corrupted by the Jews and Xtians so to them, the Bible is a little skewed in its views and the Qur'an is the only truth. There are many similar stories in the Qur'an that are in the Tanakh and the Bible: they just believe that their text is the correct one.

It is the same with all religions. Xtians believe that the Jews basically had a good thing going for them but don't accept the NT so they're corrupted, while I as a Jew do not accept the NT and do not recognize it as a holy book so quoting from it to me would be like quoting from Harry Potter: also we believe that the Torah that is in the Xtian Bible today is not the Torah G-d gave to us and that the Xtians either through mistakes or purposeful changes changed some things in it: there are over 400 variations from the Torah today that significantly change the meaning.

Islam is not the only religion that does this sort of thing: all three Abrahamic religions do the same.

There are now more than 60 versions of the Bible(Different versions not translations The different versions of the Bible are not merely different translations, but are actually versions i.e. they add and remove things from other versions)

These revisions serve as concrete proofs that all the Biblical books are not at all divinely inspired. This is because it is beyond man's ability to correct the work of his Creator, who alone is Almighty and perfect

The Bible is a collection of writings by many different authors. The Qur'an is a dictation. The speaker in the Qur'an - in the first person - is God talking directly to man. In the Bible you have many men writing about God and you have in some places the word of God speaking to men and still in other places you have some men simply writing about history.

If you had provided some examples, it might be easier to see where you're coming from. I haven't noticed what you are saying, but I have seen a lot of people misquote and misunderstand the Qur'an. Can you provide an example?

here's a real good example of someone misquoting the Qur'an:

cuz they don't want to. They don't believe in the Bible, so they don't really care (as far as I know)

but personally I've never heard a muslim even talk about the Bible. Maybe they just ain't interested

and no Muslims, I do not hate you. Hating people is wrong, and I try not to judge. this is what I assume from what I see.

It's because that the Moslems believe that the Bible's content is already corrupted. It's already written and re-written from times so the bible is not original anymore.

Same could be said for Christians, and it's their bible.

The majority have never even seen an original translation, and have no idea what the ancient texts say.

I agree with you. Muslims should be educated thoroughly, especially nowadays. Being a Muslim, I know that it is compulsory in my religion to acquire knowledge, not many people know that, not even Muslims.
