Do you sometimes eat a piece of your favorite dessert after your workouts?

Do you sometimes have a day that you eat whatever you want without watching calories and fat?

I wouldn't recommend eating whatever you want. I used to do that and it would set me back and put me back into my old eating habits and I would gain the weight right back. I would suggest buying yourself something nice, like a new outfit, music, a book, or treat yourself to a spa day or a relaxing day at the beach. That way you stay on track and you are benefiting yourself at the same time =)

I've read that it's best not to reward yourself with food. So, I have a list of dvds I want and, as I reach my weight goals (small increments), I'll allow myself to purchase them. That way I don't keep associating food with punishment or rewards.

To make sure I don't feel deprived, I've worked my fave flavors into my diet. That way, I can have a snack I like whether I've been "good" or "bad."

Weight Watchers say you can have a day like that. Other diets say you can have a day like that. I've dieted, lost weight and worked out and as long as your will power is up, you can have a day like that. For me, if something comes up that requires my full attention and I have to miss working out and can't have my certain diet food available, I fall off the wagon and then, it seems like I can't go back. I'm constantly losing and gaining. It is a mess for me.
