Can anyone tell me if the Bourgogne et Montana Hotel is in a good location? What are your thoughts on the hotel? Thank you.

I've never stayed at the hotel but I walk past it regularly and I've been inside once.

I live in Paris and personally, I wouldn't want to stay in that area - not much happens behind the Assemblée Nationale - this said, the location is relatively central. You'd be better off the other side of the river though or moving further east along the Rive Gauche towards St German and St Michel - that's a much more interesting part of Paris. At over 250 € a night for what is essentially a bed and breakfast, I'd knock a star off, pay less and stay in a cool area. If you're visiting Paris for pleasure then this is what you should do. If you're here for business then sure, it's fine, you can cross the river and you're at the bottom of the Champs, you're going to pay a lot for taxis if you want to see Paris properly though and the metros around there aren't very good for getting into the mixer. Concorde is a useful station though but it's a bit of a walk from the Bourgogne et Montana.
