Well, considering the fact that you are starving your body--you will not lose as much weight as you hope to. Many people falsely believe that if they only eat a little bit or nothing, they will lose weight quickly. The truth of the matter is that your body will recognize that you are not eating and will go into "starvation mode"--meaning that it will hang on to every once of fat you have because it is unsure of when you will eat again. You will actually not begin to lose weight until the second week [generally].
However, all is not lost. You do not have to exercise to lose weight; you just need to control your portions...which you seem more than willing to do. I do not know how much weight you want to lose, but if you eat a protein with a fruit or vegetable for each meal-- and you carefully measure that portion of each is no larger than the palm of your hand--you will begin to lose weight in a healthier manner. In all honesty, you should eat these portions at least 3 times a day [6 is best] but a piece of fruit OR vegetable OR 3-5 almonds will be a good snack 2 times a day. Avoid apples and citrus fruit, they stimulate the stomach and you will feel hungry more often.
I am not advocating a specific diet, but protein keeps you full longer--which is good if you are going to be eating A LOT less. Your weight and fitness level will determine how much weight you lose. I do want to point out that if you lose weight quickly--it will be gained back quickly...so a healthy diet, portion control and exercise [combined] is the best method for losing weight.
I have been fighting my weight for years and I have recently lost 15 lbs. If you want someone to talk to, feel free to respond to this email. GOOD LUCK!

This is not the correct way to lose weight, you will only make yourself sick. You need to go to a doctor or nutritionist in order to come up with a meal plan and exercise regimen that will work for you, your height and body type.
Extreme changes in food consumption will only make your body go into shock, and you will not lose weight and may end up in the hospital.
You can go onto RealAge.com, to take some on-line health tests to use as a guideline for healthy eating. There are doctors on that site that can help you come up with sensible and healthy meals which will help you to get to your best weight and be healthy. You can also get healthy food and meal tips on e-diets, the Martha Stewart site and the Oprah site.
When the old saying of "an apple a day keeps the doctor away" was not meant to be interpreted as only an apple a day......

Don't do it. No weight problem can be that serious that you only eat an apple a day. Your body will just go into starvation mode, and you'll end up gaining it all back once you start eating normally again. Just cut back on calories gradually and exercise more.

First things first. How many calories are you getting? Females should not go below 1200, males should not go below 1400 if you do your body will think its starving itself then instead of burning fat its going to hold onto it. Second. You need to workout more than 15min a day. If you need help with workouts there is a great yahoo group that has helped me lose 20 lbs in the past month and the owner is so awesome. She is very into fitness and helped me a lot. Check it out if your intrested. But those calories will hurt you if you dont get enough everyday. So look into that. Good luck.

I cannot even begin to tell you haow HORRIBLY BAD this is for you. Any weight that you do loose will come back with a vengance as soon as you begin to eat regularly again. Alos, just having an apple a day and water, actually slows down your metabolism and will PREVENT you from loosing any weight. Your body will think that you are starving and will begin to hold on to it's fat stores to keep you alive.
Truth is, you probably won't loose any weight at all.

Honey, you wont lose any weight that way. Your body will go into shock and store what it can...you'll lose muscle not fat, then when you return to 'normal' eating, if you know how...you'll put on the muscle weight you have lost, plus put on more fat.....get real and be sensible and eat properly and walk.....cut out your carbs, junk food, eat 5 small meals a day, stick to your water, and walk

Around 14-20 if that is all you eat, although a large percentage will be water weight. I must tell you this is dangerous! It is actually ok to starve yourself for 1-2 days to shrink your stomach, but any longer can lead to complications. Your stomach, if you haven't already discovered this, is like a machine, the more it eats the more it continues to eat, but the less it eats the less it desires to eat.

Who knows, it depends how fat you are. One thing I can guarantee you'll put it back on and double too as that's a stupid way to lose weight. Your body needs food as fuel to operate properly. Cut back in food consumption, eat low fat, less sugar and healthy foods...get out and exercise too.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!

Too much too quick. Then when you start back eating you will overeat because you are starving and gain the weight right back and plus some. DON'T STARVE YOURSELF.
