number one stop drinking any pop.
number two exercise ,even walking, though running at your age might be better, but dont overdo it, and expend more energy than you consume.
that is the only way to lose weight healthily and you dont need anything but willpower.
ps please do not get too thin.eat healthy foods not junk.
i have a daughter so i know a bit.

Just eat smaller portions of what you always eat and do not go back for seconds. If you like dessert, eat a small amount. My sister lost 70 pounds just doing that. With you being young and active already, I think that would work for you. Also, if you drink three sodas a day, drop to one. For snacks, eat fruit or popcorn. Drink at least 48 ounces of water a day (six 8 oz. glasses). Good luck.

Cut down on the cafeteria food... that stuff is really fattening, don't eat until you get home, and when you do avoid junkfood, eat fruits, veggies and some protein.
