What if you are miserable because of other people? Say you have the evidence that particular people participated in a crime against you and you were able to prove this in a court of law but people in the law turned you away. What if you were able to illustrate that certain people lied about invading your privacy while you can prove otherwise with IP addresses and other information, yet these particular people were somehow able to cover this up! Suppose that these people, especially people in the church, were somehow able to abuse their authority to suppress you from making money and achieving your own goals and objectives. Would you think that this is really your fault? Would you just sit back and take this kind of crap?!! What if these people who did this to you were allowed to further their own goals and plans in life while you were told that you're some kind of idiot, even though you could prove that they caused your situation?!! Would you not want to make everyone miserable for this kind of revolting inhumane behaviour while you were used and taken advantage of at their personal gains?! Furthermore, these people who did this to you simply tell you to just forget about this while they live in nice houses with fancy TV's and other technology, and they go skiing, and they go on special vacations around the world while you are forced to live in poverty because of their actions- would you not be miserable?! I do not know about your situation, but I think that people like the above deserve to suffer for taking advantage of you and denying you of your own life and fundamental human rights and freedoms!

It's all relative. For the most part people would like to feel good )basic survival instinct.) When they feel bad if those around them felt bad - or worse - then it would seem that they felt "better" - relatively speaking. This is why people stuck at home in hum drum lives watch soap operas where peoples lives are really miserable and complicated. It makes the viewer's life seem good by comparison and so much easier to cope and survive.

My first husband was like that. He was never happy and could not stand it if I wanted to be happy. He was a very miserable man and made my life miserable. I could barely stand to be in the same room as he was. We finally got divorced and I finally feel better about my life.

I don't know. I guess that is where the saying, "misery loves company" came from.
