I speak korean. I'm a white 21 year old guy. What can I do with my language skills in the business world? I'm from a po-dunk town and was wondering if there was any opportunity for me out there. I lived in korea for about 2 years.

Here's a link to a list of South Korean companies: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_South_Korean_companies

Many of these, including Samsung, Kia, Hyundai, etc, have offices in the States, Canada, Europe, Australia, etc. International companies are always looking for people fluent in the language of the home-office as well as the language of the countries in which the company does business. You should be able to find a way to contact their regional office and see if working for them would interest you and if so, what you would want to do and what you should study.

you could work for the united nations, as a translator, as a teacher of english to korean students, as a business associate in korea for an american company. the possibilities are endless :)

It sounds to me as though you'd be well-qualified to work as a translator if your Korean vocabulary is good. There HAS to be a market for that, given that so much of the world's economy is influenced by the Asian market.

Good luck!

There are a number of american companies that have branches in Korea. Motorola is one. I did a lot of work for them and spent some time in Korea.
