Believe it or not, getting it trimmed every six weeks. It keeps the ends healthy, less prone to breakage. Only the very tips and have a professional do it. Spend the extra money for a good shampoo and conditioner. Treat it well and you will see the results.

try massaging your hair in the shower while shampooing and get trims every 6 weeks or so.
