The post op pain from not having a root canal fully finished, or the post op pain from finishing a root canal that wasen't previously finished a week ago?

My specialist told me he couldent do any more work on my tooth today and would finish next tuesday (too much blood, swelling, and coulden't get to the very tip of my canal).
I have full faith and trust he knows what he's doing and all just curious if my tooth hurts more now because of it not being finished than it will if it was finished.

Ever happen to anyone here? Is there a dentist in the house?

you will feel much better once the root canal is finished, it hurts now because the root has been exposed but not removed. Are you taking antibiotics for infection? sometimes this also causes the pain. but either way finishing the root Canal will make you better.

I'm not a dentist, but I play one online!.... ok, it's hurting because the opperation is not fully done for the tooth to heal properly. You specialist should of finished the work on your tooth. If he stopped now, what difference does it make to continue the opperation. Well, on the other hand your tooth needs time to heal to tackle the proceedure more futher. Just make sure you take Advil for the pain.... It worked for me when my wisdom tooth was giving me hell.

once the nerve is gone there should be no pain, exce[t if abcessed- then it would hurt anyway.
