Oh Boy! I am a single mother of 2 kids. I get child Support. I use it for my kids. I would hope that my ex as a good father would ask where is the money going. I feel he has that right. If he asked I would tell him and show him. As a father, if you believe that she is using drugs you should get a lawyer and try to get you child out of that situation. Otherwise what kind of father would you be!! the child should be thought of first and always before anything or anyone else.

Sadly, because its the law. but you shouldnt stand around doing nothing. You dont state wether these are your kids or not,but if they are your kids, I dont understand why paying child support to a drug user is your concern. It seems you are worried over the money and not the child/childrens welfare.
The right thing to do is call your local Social Services or Child Welfare Agency and report her. Also ask for inmediate removal of the children in court. There, she will have the opportunity to state her case and your lawyer will do the rest.
Know that money is not that important over a childs mental health. Do the right thing.

Thats not very good, specially if you know it's true.
And it is sad if you are the childs' father.
There is a system where you can make other arrangements for your child like putting the child support into a trust fund.
or you could buy the childs needs like clothes, food, etc and drop them to her.
It saves mum the worry of having to do that week in and week out.

If she will be using the money for drugs you need to get your child in your custody and then she will pay you child support.

I don't know but it's totally unfair! I think over the years alot of men really got the shaft over that very type of thing. How sad that is!!!!!! I wouldn't take it sitting down ... I'd hire an investigator and make sure it STOPS.....this can't be good for the kids either. It may be extra $$ you may not have but I'd get it somehow because if your right you'll win.

It is the law, laws are not perfect, but if you can make a good case with proof and not hearsay or guesses, the court will take that in consideration and do something about it. But you will still have to pay.

Document her drug use. Hire a private investigator if possible.
Sue her for custody and child support. Then she will be paying.

I find it interesting that men always find something wrong with the mother of their children AFTER they are ordered to pay child support.

To build the case that you are a worthy father in case you ever need to prove that to gain custody or to remove her custody. If you dont pay, it demonstrates that you are not responsible, and that will work against you and your children.

Fight that in court and prove that she is using the money for drugs. Ask the court to require her to keep track of how she spends that money.
