Those things look good, except possibly the spam, as the other poster mentioned. Additionally, stationary items (pens, paper, blank cards, etc) are very handy for personnel over there as sometimes it can be difficult finding a way to write home (I've heard of guys over there sending home notes on bits of cardboard, because it's all they had to use). Powdered drink mixes, such as Gatorade and Crystal Light are also appreciated, as it covers the taste of the water. Other suggestions I've seen are:
-- Hygiene items, including toothpaste, shaving cream, lip balm, disposable razors, foot spray, throat lozenges/cough drops, mild/unscented bar soap, small packages of laundry detergent (mild/unscented)
-- Food items, such as nuts, popcorn, Ramen noodles, trail mix, crackers, canned cheese (i.e., Cheese Whiz), fruit snacks, cookies, beef jerky (store-bought only, and be sure there are no pork products in it)
-- Miscellaneous items, including AA batteries, magazines on gaming, computer stuff, etc (not especially current events/news, and definitely not Playboy and the like), stationary items (pens, paper, envelopes, cards, etc).

Ramen is great if they have a water heater or micro wave. if not and you feel really generous or know the person send them a water heater ($10 at walmart). Lose the spam please we had a few cans that sat on a shelf there for the whole year i was in Iraq. Any thing fun (crosswords, Sodoku), Magazines (my units favorites were FHM, Maxim, Stuff, and Mens Health. Notes are also greatly appreciated. Its always nice to hear how life is back home. Good luck and God Speed to all our soldiers everywhere!!!!

depending on how well you know them and where they are some suggestions are: For Iraq, baby wipes, gatorade mix, the kool-aid singles, if they like those, small battery operated fans, fresh t-shirts and socks.. if they are on a boat ( ie the navy) dryer sheets, candy ciggs if they smoke, coffee if they drink that. creamer. tuna in the packages, things along those lines.. of course letters and pictures always work.

i'd drop the spam. i've never liked it...unless you're positive the person you're sending the box to DOES like it. so far, it sounds like a pretty good package. you might try including a thank you note for his service with pictures of you and your family.

You're gonna laugh at this one but dog flea collars. I was told the troops are wearing them around their ankles to help fend off the sand fleas. Seriously!
