People date for different reason at different points of their lives. During high school, they may be exploring their new found sexuality and admiration for the other sex. As a young adult they could be looking for companionship or use dating as a way to discover what they want from a future spouse. For me, I'm dating so that I can finally settle down and get married. I've already figured out what I want and now's the time to get it. Your heart may get broken now and then but every heart break will push you closer and closer towards finding "The One".

You know I've always wondered the same thing! I'm 23 and never
dated before. And one of the reasons for not dating is because I've been hurt too many times in the past. I don't want a broken heart.

People date because of the sensation of dating.Love, everybody likes it as sometimes can be bigger than the love of your parents, and you would even get kill for that person. I know you could broken heart but is some thing from life, as you could say why do we marry...

its so people can make out and fullfill their lust, and be together with someone to share their time with, and depend on that person soley to make them happy...
