Yes, I have. I know of one couple that was very close. It was 25 years ago, so it rare for the time. While not rejected by their families, they drew closer to each other because they didn't feel the fitted in anymore.
They would walk down the street holding hands and I was envious. Forget about the color, just to find someone that you were that in love with I would consider a miracle.
I have know other couples, but that one's loving relationship burned in to my memory.
Good Luck.

HEY! >: | I'll have you KNOW that my dad is Jamaican/ a little Irish and my mother is full Irish. They have been together for over 45 years. >> My FATHER'S interracially married parents have been together till one of them died. AND I prefer white men. Men like YOU who look down on me and call me "traitor". Can kiss my mulatto as s. I will date and marry who I want and no man in some cyberspace is gonna tell me otherwise. And I am bisexual and even find black women sexy and have been with a few. Especially the very dark ones. Ghetto black men are a turn-off. I'd rather face a loud ghetto lady any day. Besides, ghetto girls are good for the whole"bondage" session if you get my drift. I dont give a rat's *** about skin color. I care about their class, status and character. It's not that I have never been attracted to black men before... it's just that... um. I dunno... their features are simply too broad for me. PLus, that attitude is rank. Gangstas and thugs turn me off about as much as a decomposed rat in a heating vent. You are no different than those nut-so white supremists who wish to keep their women at home, stay in their "race" and make babies. No matter what race you are, no matter how you slice it, it's all about controlling women. Sinceus women are the ones who make babies, men want to at least control what race the baby will be. After all, menbelive it is THIER world. And since men tend to be the most racist ones, having a world full of diverse people just wont do. I mean... men love war so much, with people looking different, they wouldn't know who to blow up or not. We women are NOT your property. But I digress. I'll put ANY amount of money on the bet that you were raised in "da hood" or at least in some gawd awful church who's mindset is still in the 1930's and their religious teachings echo the Dark Ages. And you are right. Right about black men being spiritual. I was not raised religious, so why in Sam Hill would I want with some religious, spiritual black dude. And some black Christian and some Muslim duded are as hypocritical as they come. Some of ya'll can get as bad as those guys off The Color Purple. The world is changing and soon, people with your mindset will be pretty hard to find. People say one person cant change the world. Not ture. It only takes one person to steer mankind in an enlightened direction for the better. It has happened before. And by the way, by the WAY. Science proves that there is NO such thing as race. (gasp) YOu say it isn't so? Well it is. Maybe you should whip your head out of that cute wittle Bible and read a real book for once. There would be so much info your head would implode. We humans are only 99.5% different when compared to other animals. An Italian and an Australian can make another human. And in the end, that human ensures our survival for another day. And that's REALLY all that matters. If humans EVER went through a population crisis where there were only a few humans left on the planet, folks like you would drop the race card like a molten potato and try and make more humans.

It's not very rare anymore - but I'm sure that depends on where you live. Living in Atlanta - a very large city with TONS of people, we see it all here: White Man, Black Girl and vice versa, then you also see:
White Man, Black Man
Black Girl/White Girl
Hispanic Man/White Girl
Hispanic Man/Black Girl
Indian Girl/Black Man
and so on and so on, etc. etc. etc.
As far as people looking at you weird, ignore them. They aren't worth your time. Hold your man's hand, keep you chin up and walk proud! In the game of Love there's only one race - the human race. Awwww, I got touched a little there! LOL, no really, enjoy your man and your interracial relationship!

Go to a military town. You'll see just as many white man/black woman relationships as black man/white woman ones. In fact just the other day I took my daughter to the park. There were alot of couples there with their kids and I think there was only one other couple besides me and my husband that was the same race. And the majority were white men and black women.

I have seen all sorts of interracial couples, including black women dating or married to white men, I don't think it's all that unusual. I've known several black women who will only date white men. I think you may be uncomfortable with your relationship, not the people around you.

I have seen a number of such marriages while in the U.S. Army. They all seemed to be working out just fine. While I knew those couples only for a couple years at a time, theirs appeared to be among the most stable relationships I witnessed. So if you and your man are happy, whose business is it but yours?

Sure I have seen this. I have seen that there is a stereotype that black men dont treat their women as well as white men... I dont think this is true, I have seen the stereo type though. I think that if you love your boyfriend and he loves you it doesnt matter whether your purple and he is orange as long as you two are good to each other. I hope you guys find long lasting happiness with one another. good luck.
