The man I was dating for 5 months until recently told me all his married friends said that when you meet "the one" you just know and he didn't think I was "the one" Is that just a load of crap, or should you know if the girl is "the one" after a few months?

Sorry, but he is just brushing you off. Sounds like he is searching for a wife. He should have been more thoughtful though, sounds like he turned out to be a jerk.

we do feel something right away, but, it doesn't sound like the guy even knows what he wants. If he told you this already you shouldn't be with him anyway
