That verse pertains to children born to a family that knows the Lord as their Savior - doesn't pertain to adults. When a person becomes of age to know right from wrong and is old enough to understand what being born again means or accepting Christ as their Savior, then THEY are responsible for whether or not they go to heaven. It pertains only to young children and babies that are born into a born again Christian family, but die before they are old enough to choose Christ. When a baby is born into a born again Christian family and then dies months or a few years later, then the baby (or young child) will go to heaven because his/her parents are saved.
Romans 9:11,12 - (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) 12 - It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

If God wrote the old testament, then a bunch of people will go to heaven who are good and the acceptance of G-d makes no difference. We know that G-d did not write the new testament and it was written many years after Jesus's death, so I would not worry too much about who goes to heaven, but what we do on this planet. It makes no sense that you can be the biggest scoundral in the world and one church says just pay me a few dolalrs and you will go to heaven. To any logical perosn, that is wrong. The same should be said for believing in Jesus, the idea is to be good to others and live a moral life, not to say thank you jesus and be a rotten sefl interested human being.

That can't be right! Everyone is responsible for themselves ;; you could have a man and his son living in a house. While the man is a great Christian & is going to Heaven, the son could be a serial killer. If the household thing was true, I bet Mother Teresa had alot of roommate applications.
But in Heaven you'll be perfectly happy forever, so either they will be there *to you* or you won't remember they aren't. Either way, try and convert your family! Good luck =]

You're wrong. The bible is just a story. It's made up. There's no god. Jesus, if existed, is long dead. You won't see anybody in heaven because it was invented to entice potential believers (hey, it worked, right?)
Please read "The God Delusion". Email or IM me if you don't have a copy handy.

SALVATION IS INDIVIDUAL NOT BECAUSE OTHERS AT HOME WERE SAVED OR NOT. THE BIBLE DOES NOT SAY THAT YOUR FAMILY WILL BE SAVED IF YOU YOURSELF ARE.ONLY GOD DOES THE ACTUAL SAVING, THROUGH CHRIST. PARENTS OR MATES CAN'T DO IT.

I don't think one person being saved gets a family saved. they have to make that choice for themselves.
it's speculated that if a child, who has saved parents, dies young, that their parent(s)' faith has saved them, as they have not reached the age of accountability.
and besides. families can be big. narrow is the way and few find it. and note, not everyone who cries "lord, lord" will be saved.
