I'm not certain but basically I think it means that the money was not paid voluntarily. It was collected through a garnishment.

Simply put the outstanding debt for the the collection agency was hired to collect on has been satisfied. The means by which it was paid is the levy.....simply put this means it was legally seized to satisfy the outstanding debt. What they took may not be that clear or obvious so you need to investigate. It will be a matter of public record to go web site for the Clerk of Court for the respective county you reside and look up the levy document which will give you information in terms of who, what and when it was seized.

I believe it means a lean was placed on the object. If it was a car it may have been reposessed. Same with a house. In a house case they can forclose. It means the thing was put in a place where it can't be touched or used or posessed by the owner until the money owed and any other costs are paid. It can also mean they took a lein out on someone's house or their paycheck , whatever, to get paid. They are getting their money because the judgement was in their favor.

Levy means: to assess and collect. It means that the collection agency has assessed and collected the funds to satisfy the judgment in some way. If you dont know where the funds came from to pay the debt you might want to check your bank account to see if they raided it.

I think it means it was paid other ways than willingly...they garnished your wages, they took the property...but it was not paid as agreed.
