I'm vacationing and would like to order and ship ahead of time. (Probably diapers and snack food for the room). Will hotels generally accept and hold a package for me?

Yes, most hotels will generally accept and hold a package for you for stuff like that. I've done it all over Europe and it seems to be fine.

When you order the stuff, make sure that on the package label the company indicates your name + the words "HOTEL GUEST - ARRIVES ON ____" and fill in the date. You should also call the concierge or manager and let him/her know that you are expecting the package. When I do this, I usually have the package scheduled for delivery for the day after I arrive, so I know that my name will be in the computer's system.

Depends on the hotel; Most will not want the liability but call the hotel direct and speak with the manager. If she/he is agreeable to your proposition ask them for an email address and send a note confirming the agreement like the sample below:

Thanks Mr. Sanchez for allowing our family to have an order preshipped to you. Our family's special dietary needs are often difficult to accomodate on vacation. We look forward to our stay at Insert Hotel Name Here! -The 1derful Family

Hope this helps
