First I would like to say don't listen to the first poster, totally clueless. You don't know how they take care of their vehicle or drive it. I know several people that have put 100k miles on a Hemi and not had a lick of trouble with it.

Now if you are looking for new, go test drive them and decide which on you like the best.
If you are looking for a used vehicle, things become more difficult. Look online at different websites to find vehicles in your location and when you find a vehicle you like, do research on it like its carfax report and any consumer reports that might list problems with that specific vehicle.

By test driving them all, LOL!

Seriously though you first need to determine what is important to you I own a Ford Truck and I highly recommend it! They sell well in TX and that is where trucking is done. I have had my eye on that new Silverado and while it looks pretty and the doors folding back is awesome I dont know if it can handle the real deal.

Whatever you do don't by a truck without 4X4 or you will find yourself sliding all over the place in slick weather conditions.
You amy even want to talk to drivers of small delivery of tow trucks. Look around you and notice that the chasis (front cabs) are ofter Ford 350, 450, 550 or 650 models.

I wanted a Dodge but was told it was a bad idea-my generation grew up with the notion that Dodge Boys Have more fun (great slogan) but have found that the truck with the hemi can't haul it's own bull.

Hope this helps!

Pennysaver, Thrifty nickel... These are great sources of good used vehicles... Also carfax for 25 bucks for a year might save you a bundle to see if the car has blaring red flags attached. If you want a great used cheep truck - try a southwestern state if your close by... imagine a no rust Toyota 4x4 - a great investment. Where do you live?
