Why do so many people get offended when there are "Innocent" jokes about Jesus? For example: Did Jesus play Video Games? If so, I want to play him in Street Fighter!

I mean, do you honestly believe Jesus was a Bold, Strict person with absolutely no sense of humor whatsoever? Lighten up people lol. Jesus was a great person, a person like you and I. Surely he joked as well.

If religious empires ever admitted to what you said about Jesus, they wouldn't be able scare their members into blind faith.

I never did accept the idea of Jesus standing on a street corner singing a Gregorian Plaint Chant. I always pictured him with a period instrument, singing with the sinners. And getting a little tipsy. It's amazing how humorless the American Christians have become. It's actually kind of sad, too, because they have turned their backs on the kind of rebellious spirit their Jesus probably was. He was more of a '60s Hippy than a '90s Republican. But I guess when all you're interested in is power and world domination, you have to be stern.

Yes, I agree. I think that Jesus's humor is not in the Bible because there were other more important things to talk about.

Not to be offensive, but mentally retarded people have a sense of humor, little kids have a sense of humor, everyone, including Jesus.

If you really knew who he was you wouldn't want to make jokes about him, you would fall in love with him. But yes Jesus has a great sense of humor because he makes me smile all the time and fills me with Joy.

I think the movie "Matthew" by the Visual Bible portrayed a possible emotional side of Jesus very well... certainly Jesus said heaven was entering into the JOY of your master

hard to generalize...but some of the 'jokes' seem to be done rather shallowly and sometimes seem to be heavy of the sarcasm and light on the depth of thought

You are right. A few weeks back, someone asked "Did Jesus wear clothes when He died?" then the answer was "Yes, he was a cross-dresser."...Or something to that affect. Most people jumped on the person, and while I agree Jesus and God are not to be taken lightly, I don't think they were serious.

You made a mistake in your arguement, though. Jesus wasn't like you and me. He was perfect.

Just had to clear that up, it was bugging me. Have a nice day!

While Jesus was here on earth, little children loved Him.
Kids are hard to fool, and they rarely like to spend alot of time around people who don't know how to smile.
Jesus, Who is God in the flesh, is perfect. Therefore, He would kick your butt in Street Fighter.....

There isnt very much written about Jesus in that manner but somewhere I read a little about his childhood ..he was pretty much like anyone else..Had a little imp in him playing pranks and doing things that most children do.I would imagine that he was pretty much like you and me and probably yes had a sense of humor.

He did have a sense of humor. However, you have to remember He is God and deserves our respect. God will not be mocked. There are ways you can joke without being disrespectful and sacrilegious.

Many so-called jokes are meant to be disrespectful especialy if they are given by those who are not part of His family.

It's like ethnic jokes or slurs by people who are outside the group they are making fun of.

no ,he may have been human ,but nothing like you or I his father was God almighty, he came here to die on a cross for our sins and he knew this, he may have had a since of humor, but he didn't have time for things of the world like video games if they would have had them back then, he had bigger things to accomplish
