I've heard that 3 a week should be the limit, espically if you have chlorestoral problems.

Define "normal". An athlete or couch potato? A 6'2" male or 5'3" female? A 6'0" female at 200 lbs? or a 5'2" male weiging 130 lbs? Are you thinking of eggs only as a stand-alone item as in "bacon and eggs"? or are you planning to include the eggs used in cooking the things you eat, breads, cakes, breaded foods, custards, pies, casseroles, etc.? Personally, unless you have some type of allergy, I think you can have all the egg whites you want to eat. Probably all the whole eggs, too, unless you have high cholesterol or some other health problem.

My grandmother has a problem with this because of her high cholesterol levels, but she has told me that eating up to two eggs a day should be the limit.

There's no specific amount you should eat, but eggs do provide a lot of protein.
