For the previous answerer, a laserdisc is not the same as a DVD -- it's a disk about the size of a vinyl record that had the video information recorded on it -- the analog video information, not digitally compressed as on a DVD.

Laser Disk is Same as DVD. If you mean a CD by a laser Disk you can play a CD on your DVD player also. DVD player are Backward Compatible.

Both use the same laser so both are basically the same.

But if you still want to convert them you would need a DVD burner.

A DVD playe uses the same laser as that used by a laser disk both of them use RED lasers to Read disks so both of them are Virtually the same except for the compression rates. A CD Can accommodate about 700 MB of Data where as a DVD can Accommodate about 4.7 GB for a Single Side and about 9.6GB for a Dual Sided Disk, each off the Same size(Disk Dimensions). Both of them are Virtually the Same except for the Disk Read and Writer Laser Intensity.

You would still need a DVD writer to Bur DVDs and You would need a DVD bur ning Soft and all CDs can be played on a DVD player also.
