It's great that you work out 4 times a week. That is what you mean...not 4 times per day??? I do 5 per week and follow a sensible diet.....lots of vegs, some fruit, lean meat and virtually no carbs....protien is very important especially if you are working out....great for muscle development...snack on protein between meals, and drink 2-3 litres of water a day, and try walking too. in 2 months you'll feel and see the difference....and have fun....

Really it is going to depend on how long you have been doing this routine. (and i am guessing that you are really working out 4x a WEEK, not a day) Also, weight loss is 80% diet. But yes, A bucket of muscle weighs three times more than the same size bucket of fat.
Dont be discouraged, go by measurements or how well your clothes fit. If they are looser, then great job. If not, look at your diet.
And sometimes it can take 4-6 weeks before you see any results weight wise. Let me know if you have more questions.

Hi there. Four times a day is excessive - did you mean four times a week? That will put your central nervous system into shock, and when the body goes through that much stress (exercise stresses the CNS), it has a knack of holding on to what it's got (or adding more). Also, is your diet clean? Both diet and exercise are equally important. Make sure you are getting enough calories and most important, that what you eat is actually good - not junk like cookies and candy. You may want to think about upping the amount of protein in your diet too if you haven't given that much consideration. Good Luck.

Here's a suggestion---quit overworking your body! What you are doing is unhealthy and no wonder you're gaining weight! Your body is overworked so every time you eat it is starving for nutrients and energy, and since you're working so hard, it feels like it needs to save what it gets for later (cause it knows you're gonna keep at it!). Try eating several small meals each day and working out once a day for 45 minutes. Please be safe from now on!

If you dramatically increase your excercise suddenly, you will send your body into a panic and it will react as if you are in survival mode. It is shocked and believes that you are in starvation mode so your body is storing fat in order to be able to power your future workouts. This is not healthy at all. You need to slow down the workouts to once a day or once every two days and you will begin to see weightloss and you will be doing it a healthy way
