Actually, like many of the things about Superman, he does not have a Religious affiliation. He has beliefs that he follows, but so as he does not support one greater than another, he never chose one.

Same with politics and everything else that his membership in could tip the scale in favor of one side.

I believe it is implied that he is a Christian, being from the mid west in America.

In "Its Superman" by Tom DeHaven, a novel set in depression era America it is stated that Ma Kent is a devout Methodist, and that Pa Kent has fallen away from the faith with Clark fading away from the church after Martha dies. Methodist is the majority faith of KS if I remember correctly.

Keep in mind also that he was created in the 1930's, by two Jewish teens, and his origins mimic aspects of both Jesus and Moses

If Superman was a true Catholic, he never would have screwed around with Lois and had that kid without being married to her first.
So, no.

He had to have been Catholic. I bought all his comic books and he never fooled around with Lois Lane! He waited until marriage!

And, from the same site, there's also this special section on Superman's religious roots:

Jewish, supposedly. After all, Siegel and Schuster, the boys who created him were Jewish. His Kryptonian name is Kal-El, and the name El, means god in Hebrew, and star in Kryptonian (or so they say.) But I doubt that he was circumcised.
