I know it's kinda gross, but my snot is black, any idea why?

smog. i had the same thing happen to me when i visited mexico city for a few days. that city hasa lot of crap in the air.

is it always like that? or just occasionally? Have you been in a dusty area....usually if mucus is dark as you describe, it is due to breathing in something like dirt or dust. Another possibility is you may have had a bloody nose.

It's dried blood mixed with mucus, nothing to worry about.

nose bleed perhaps? dried blood often looks close to black
