I have a math trick and a math-card trick both with stories.
Math trick:
3 people go to get a room at a hotel and the owner of the hotel charges them for 1 room at $25/night. Each person puts down $10 and goes up to the room. Realizing that the people never got their change the owner sent the bellhop up with the $5 change. The bellhop remembered that there was 3 people and that $5 does not split evenly between 3 people so he kept $2 for him self knowing that the guests would be none the wiser.
So they paid $9 each and the bellhop kept $2, but 3x9 is 27 + 2 is only 29... what happened to the extra dollar?
Card trick:
Take all the face cards out of the deck. Lay them in 4 piles, face up each in this order: 1king, 1queen, 1jack and 1ace. Tell the story that 4 men went to get rooms at a hotel and they each brought along their wives, sons and daughters. Pick up the piles in reverse order that they were laid down (farthest right to farthest left) but keep them in the KQJA order. Shuffle them 4 times (just cut the deck 4 times) then tell the story that there was a black out and they all got mixed up as to which room they were in. Lay down the cards in order of left to right. All the KQJA's end up with each other. Pick them up right pile to left again and cut the deck 4 more times. Say that there was a second black out and that they all managed to make it back to their correct rooms. Lay the cards down left to right and all the KQJA will be back as a family.

Here is a simple magic trick that works because of math:
Take a deck of cards, shuffle it well, ask someone else to shuffle it.
Ask for two numbers from the audience- 1-10 or a jack, queen, or king.
Say some magic-sounding stuff, then hand the deck to someone and tell them to look through it- the two numbers stated are now touching (or maybe, because of some logical sounding reason, one card apart.)
This works by sheer odds- 4 of each number in a deck of 52 means this trick works about 3 out of 4 times.
Now- the REAL trick is 'selling' it!
You can sell it as a mind-reading trick- quickly riffle through the cards and tell the victims that you will PLANT the needed numbers directly in their brain (or quickly riffle it at them adn tell them you will read their mental images) If you go this route, the reason for the 'card between' would be that the old (or new) deck did not riffle smoothly.
It can be a trick of your card skills- have the numbers called, then shuffle them together out of sheer skill.
It can be an 'invisible pet' trick- shuffle, cover deck with a cloth or put in a box or hat, then introduce an invisible helper- a flea or ant for example. Put it by the cards and give it a minute to work. This is a fun one to do with kids- and if it misses, you can always say it was the WRONG ANT! and try again.
Don't forget that in magic, your job as the magician is to ACT like a magician and make this wonderful for your victims... er, i mean, audience!

Math trick............ if you wanted to see what certain numbers times nine are , do this.
9times 7 is the sames as the number you r multiplying by and the differnce between the two.
example. 9 times 7 \
the seven goes in the tens place and then you subtract 7 from 9 which is 2, so 2 goes is the 1's place. Get it?

Here's one of the "psychic" type tricks
it works for most people
I am thinking of some images and would like to see if you can guess them.
I want you to imagine a big blackboard.
My hand picks up a piece of chalk and writes the number 1.
And the number 2 next to it.
And the number 3 next to that.
And finally the number 4.
Now my hand is taking the chalk and circling just one of those numbers.
Write down which number I circled.
=3
Imagine that big blackboard again. My hand appears again holding a piece of chalk and I'm writing a two-digit number on the board.
The number is between 10 and 50. Both digits are different and they're both odd. Which number do you think I wrote.
Write it down.
=35 or 37
Back to the drawing board!
Now I write another two-digit number, but this time it's higher than 50. Both digits are even and both are different. Which number do you see. Write it down.
=86/68

okay this is a magic trick: at a tall table, where people cannot see your legs, put a cloth or napkin on your lap. now, on the table have a quarter with a salt shaker ontop of it. say, "I am going to make this quarter disappear." putting a napkin over the salt shaker+ quarter.
try it once, then try making it disappear again. Then say "ok that obviously wont work." as youre saying this, pick up the salt shaker, with the napkin still on it, hold it under the table and drop it into the cloth on your lap. then say im going salt shaker disappear." still holding the shape of the salt shaker put it on the table and flatten it out. Whah la!!

Connect each of the top circles to each of the bottom circles with a line (it can be strait, curved, whatever) but don't cross any of your lines
