There have been several creepy cases noted. Every part of the person is burnt up but the chair they were sitting in is relatively o.k. Or just the outline of the person on the bed in ashes. It is unexplainable. They can find no reasonable explanation for these things.

To the Devil guy: They know when people burn up due to smoking or not and these people did not.

I don't know about that, it is such a weird thing. It must stem from a very bad build up of gas.

Humans do not spontaneously combust. It is possible to replicate what appears to be SHC in the laboratory (using dead pigs, not humans), but it requires an external ignition source (even a lit cigarette works).
In any case it takes some time. Cremation of a human body requires 1600 degs F for approximately 2 hours. And remember, the human body is mostly water and doesn't burn to nothing easily.

Not presuming to speak for the ‘devil guy’. I nevertheless wish to point out that they do not always know. This is especially true of older claims and claims without a lot of insurance money at stake.
Many of the SHC cases are consistent with, say, elderly people sitting in a chair and falling asleep while smoking.
You can believe as you wish, but you cannot claim evidence where no evidence (or simpler, more every-day explanations) exist, or discount evidence because you do not like the answer it gives you.

Actually, there IS a reasonable explanation for what is called "spontaneous human combustion" (SHC). It is called the "wick effect" and has been tested. The results matched the supposed SHC and this explanation is much more reasonable than the belief that the human body will spontaneously burst into flames. For more info, see the link below.

This approach of spontaneous human combustion already has been solved via technological know-how. One could call it human candle. Spontaneous human combustion oftentimes happens in sedated persons (as an occasion by way of consume of alcohol) and oftentimes contains cigarettes. A burning cigarette (or another source of hearth) falls on the a number of clothing of the sufferer and ignites it. by way of warmth, the fat under your dermis gets fluid and, as quickly by way of fact the exterior under the burning clothing bursts by way of warmth, the fluid fat acts like a wax, with the clothing performing like a wick. this type (i.e. further and further physique fat of the sufferer getting fluid and getting used as gas via the hearth) the hearth spreads by each and every of the clothing of the sufferer and the sufferer slowly burns up, till not greater fat in any area of the sufferer that's coated via clothing is contemporary and the flames die out (that's why no longer something interior the location is getting burned). areas of the sufferer that are recovered intact commonly aren´t coated via clothing, that's why the flames won't be able to liquidize the fat in those areas besides and unfold to those physique areas.

Nope. And I saw a show on the science channel that was able to duplicated it with pigs. It is actually a slow burn of body fat under just the right conditions.

There have been no verifiable cases of spontaneous combustion. Consequently there are no spiritual reasons for it.

I've always wondered if this were true. I don't think anyone has actually seen it happen. Isn't it just an assumption this is what happened to some people?

No, I think there is a scientific reason, and I don't think that spontaneous combustion is real.
