A shepherd guards His flock. He makes sure they receive what they need for life, food, water, safety. He guards them from other animals that would seek to kill the sheep. He seek out the one that goes astray and returns it to the flock. He uses his staff to lead and guide the sheep. If you ever have a chance read the book called "A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23", it is the beautiful love story of Jesus and the tender care He gives His sheep. I am honoured to be a part of His flock.

Well shepards protect and take care of sheep. The help them stay away from danger, and many sheperds care for their sheep very much. That is part of what Jesus did, he came to earth to look after his sheep.

forgive me for my confusion. some say Jesus is the son of God. Others say that Jesus is God. Since little, i've always wonder how Jesus can be the son of God and the God at the same time. And now some people say that he have child. So, that baby would be like the grandchild of God and also the child of God? So much confusion. Who have the final say then? God-father, Jesus-God or baby-Jesus God? lets have some critical thinking about that

A Shepherd herds his sheep...
But Jesus was not a shepherd DOH, he was the son of a carpenter, who built wooden things.
But don't you think it is ironic that he should choose the metaphor of a shepherd, and his followers tha Christians are thus sheep!

Jesus is the shepard to those of us who believe. We are the sheep who follow the shepard.
15He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. 17He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
21Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of[f] your evil behavior. 22But now he has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation— 23if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.
