If it is done in moderation. Make sure that your cat likes the banana and it doesn't make it sick. Also watch it's bowel movements to make sure that diarrhea or constipation doesn't occur. If it does...your cat may not be able to tolerate bananas. As always, check with your veterinarian to be certain. My cat loves bananas and doesn't seem to have any problems with them.

No. It is not healthy for a cat to eat a banana. Cats are carnivores - they are only supposed to eat meat. They will digest and get nutrition from the banana, but it won't be good for them. If they eat a substantial amount, it could harm their digestive system (give them mud butt), and make them sick.

Cats are obligate carnivores which means it only needs to get all of its nutrition from meat. Feeding cats things you are unaware of that is not cat food can result in ingested toxicity. Just because it is OK for us doesn't mean that it OK for kitty.
SO when in doubt do without.

My cat likes to eat everything... he LOVES perssimones... and he'll eat banana's if I let him. It wont hurt your cat if he's eats just a little once in a while.

yes its ok because i have two cats and there names are tigger and fur butt 2. they eat lots of human food and it dont hurt them.
my cats are so smart, they even sleep like humans too!
