Using the alphabet of approx 26 characters, it's easy for most western countries to sort names and lists according to the sequence of the alphabet, but with so many characters how does China do this?

Chinese characters are very complex ,so it used to be impossible for us to type Chinese on computer,but now we solve the problem.And,compare with this,nothing could be more difficult. :)We sort names and lists according to the characters' pronunciation

There is a Pinyin system in Chinese which uses the letters in the alphabet except for v. You would alphabetize things just like you would in English, minus the v.

Chinese Mandarin has Pinyin system, which is based on Latin alphabetics. It also includes 26 alphabetcs. But there is no "v" in Pinyin and, they use "ǜ" replace "v".
