What causes calcium deposits in the abdomen?

I had my gallbladder out nearly a year ago. I had some symptoms for about a month after surgery (indigestion, diarrhea if I ate anything fatty) but those symptoms were not extremely troublesome. Although it was a bit annoying to live with, it felt wonderful to not be in pain from the gallbladder. I was overweight before the surgery, and still am slightly, but have lost 15 pounds since the surgery without even trying. I can eat anything I want with no symptoms - even ice cream, fried chicken, hamburger and pizza with extra cheese! Surgery, for me, was not easy...though it could have been a lot worse. I had a laparoscopic surgery, but my surgeon had to enlarge one incision to about 2" because my gallbladder had a large stone in it (about the size of a golf ball!). I was in a lot of pain right after surgery, and was on morphine that night and the following morning, then percocet for 2 days. However, the pain from surgery, though more intense, didn't bother me nearly as much as the pain I'd had from my gallbladder. Nearly all the people that I have spoken with who have also gone through a lap cholecystectomy have had a much easier time than I did, and most everyone says they are glad to be rid of their gallbladders. Good luck to you!
