I had an doctor order for an ultrasound and on the bottom the order said "R/O gallbladder disease" Any idea what this means?

Rule out gall bladder disease.

This is basically the reason for the ultrasound. They suspect from your symptoms that you may have gallbladder disease and want to rule it out (or confirm it)

R/O = rule out

They have to put the reason to justify the ultrasound and also to let the technician know what they are lookign for.
