Tell him your living proof that the old saying "You don't know what you've got 'til it's gone" is true. That while you were apart it really clarified your feelings. And you know now how much you want to be with him. You can't expect him, nor should you, to trust you right away. Tell him you understand why he might be nervous and slightly reluctant to start this new relationship wholeheartedly...and all your asking for is a chance to prove how much you care. Tell him you will do your best to every day prove your love and fidelity to him. Remember you hurt him...he has a right to feel the way he does. You may have both said some nasty things while you were apart, but the catalyst was your careless dismissal of something that you obviously didn't realize was special at the time. Good luck hun! I wish you the best.

From what you said, shouldn't there be things he should be sorry about too? Like all the stuff he said about you? If he is questioning it then just cut him loose. My best friend went through something like that. She broke up with him becasue she thought she could do better, (which she could've but didn't try) and then she went back to him, apologized, and went through all this but worse. He would burn cds with songs talking about people who are unfaithful and making mistakes and begging for forgiveness and play them for her, just to rub it in her face. He was a loser anyway and should have been happy she came back to him. She finally wised up and dumped the jerk. It sounds like you may wanna start fresh with someone new. Good Luck!

thats why we have to be very careful what we say, cause it can never be taken back.
i would not continue to apologize forever. you just cannot do that.
tell him that you are sorry that what you said upset him so much, but that you can only go on from here and not worry about the past. things are sometimes left in the past, if he can't forgive you and move on then the best thing you can probably do is to move on without him.

have a serious discussion over it and talk things round. if he don't trust your word, why he bothers to be with you? vice versa...if he don't have the trust in you, it's not wise to start the relationship. it will lead to a greater problem.

There's not much you can do except be honest with him and give him time to get over this. It won't happen overnight so just continue to be supportive, honest & apologetic.
