It depends upon what you're qualified to do and what you're interests are.

I liked:

1) RAF Lakenheath, Enland (USAFE)

2) RAF Mildenhall , England (USAFE and sister base of RAF Lakenheath)

3) Seymour Johnson AFB, Goldsboro, NC

4) Hickam AFB, Hawaii

5) US Air Force Acadamy, Colorado Springs, CO

Not sure where you're coming from. Peterson Air Force Base, Schriever AFB, Cheyenne Mountain Air Station, and the US Air Force Academy are all near Colorado Springs, which is always named one of the best places in the US to live. (Money magazine named the Springs #1 last year). And Buckley AFB is close by, in Denver (another great place) - so that's 5!

If I were in the Air Force, I'd pick Hickam Air Force Base in our 50th State, Hawaii! Another good AFB is Andersen on Guam. Both areas are fairly friendly towards the military.

I only saw one person list it. Macdill AFB in Tampa, Fl. The weather is awesome, Tampa is a great city, and the base housing is among the best Ive ever been in... Also if you play, the best AF golf courses in the country.

Hill Air Force Base = Utah
Here is a website of interest to you. However, your officer above you should give you active duty papers to which place you are being sent of next. I do not believe it's entirely up to you. My experience with my deceased husbands military career.

son is at Lakenheath in England and is having a ball, also heard that the one just outside of Venice is super.

What are you looking for, a good place here in the USA or and excellent jump off point to see the whole of Europe.

I know of 2 great ones in Germany as well.................also it all depends on what your job is as to whether you are able to go to these of course.
