the axis control, x y and z on the joystick controls the pitch (up and down motion) roll (side to side or banking motion) and the yaw (side to side lateral motion) depending on what controller you have, there may be a certain number of buttons, on the one i have, there is 8... you can program those buttos to do a certain action such as lower or raise the landing gear, extend/retract the flaps, and, in the case of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 and MSFS X you can program a bytton to display and/or hide the "kneeboard". hope this helps...

Okay... pull back the houses get smaller. Push forward the houses get bigger! ;)

Turning left and right will roll the aircraft and thus turn it in that direction. Don't bank too steep.

All of the buttons can be programmed however you want! In Flight Simulator click on OPTIONS>CONTROLS>ASSIGNMENTS there is a whole list of stuff you can assign to yout buttons! And check THIS out... It's my 737 sim with a real boeing glass cockpit: www.cyberwitt.com/sim Good luck!

Each control does whatever you want it to do. You have to go into microsoft flight sim and assign the axes to the airplane, but all other buttons can be assigned to any function, gear, flaps, spoilers etc. Under control assignments, you just double click on the function you want to control, and a window pops up telling you to hit the button or key you would like to assign. Simply hit the button on the joystick you want to assign to it, and your set.
