Here's a book for you:

And I'm surprised at that trainer. It's their job to work with you to solve problems. What kind of methods was that trainer using?
I'd warn people to keep away from your dog, and do not push your dog into any uncomfortable situations - she's already told you quite clearly that being petted is not OK with her. Please don't make her have to keep telling you this. Seek the help of a behaviorist and go see your vet. A dog who snaps at people may be in pain, and it's important to rule this out before you move on to a behaviorist.

Your dog is responding to your actions. First, she has laid claim to you and your house. You need to change your habbits if you want her to become well ballanced. Exercise, discipline and affection in that order. Walk her twice a day for 30 minutes minimum. Train her to heal when you walk. She should be at your side putting no strain on the lead. NO PULLING! You can excersize discipline as an alpha by not free feeding. Feed her at your mealtimes but only after you have eaten. Maker her sit still and calmly before giving her the food. Learn to show her affection only when she is behaving in a calm submissive state. If you react to her agression by coddling her when she growls and snaps at other people telling her that she is ok you are only compounding the problem. You have like two seconds to stop her behavior when she reacts badly to other people. Use a distinguishable noise like snapping your fingers or a sharp shhhh noise. If you have more problems try leaving her leash on when you introduce her to other people as a reminder of controll. Read the book "Ceasar's Way" by Cesar Milan. You won't regret it and will probably be shocked how well you dog can behave if you "train" yourself to act like a pack leader instead of a follower. It worked very well wit my husky (Patrick) and my Great Dane (Madison). Well ballanced dogs and well trained owners rock!

Has she been socialized much? Has anyone ever hurt her?
Maybe an obediance class will help. She'll learn that you're the boss and she'll be surrounded by others so she'll have to get used to your interactions.
Huskies are a tricky breed. I've never loved them because they seem a little too smart, or nuerotic. Talk to a vet or a husky expert, like a breeder or rescue people. They may have more specific advice.

The only person that has given you a TOTALLY CORRECT ANSWER is Cellar_door.
hey cellar_do... u rock !

don´t hear the answers of all, of the other people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DO NOT GET RID OF YOUR DOG (D´s answer)
that is not gonna help and obviously D doesnñt knows what she´s talking about
hey D, dogs aren´t a toy they breath and think, just like u...well, maybe u do not think, as i can see...

i have a book about dog language and i´ll give u some tips:
don´t shout at ur dog, the higher the voice volume the more that you convince your dog to keep doing what he is doing.
Use a low tone and press gently on your dog´s "shoulders", so he understands that growling is not correct.

Once again cellar_door... u rock...

Lizzee F is an idiot...don't listen to her...unless you want your dog to bite your face off!! Yes, Huskies are stubborn, but they really are lovely dogs when trained well. You will need to find a behavioral trainer to work with you and your dog one on one...most dogs don't train well in a class, it's too distracting. Never use yelling, hitting, or standing over your dog in a menacing way as a form of training...fear and punishment will ruin your dog's personality!!

Show her who's boss. Scare the holey living daylight out of the dog. My dog was the same way. Yell and use a object and hold it up (like a dish rag). When she does that, tell her to sit, lift the object in the air and yell a short phrase such as 'easy' or 'be nice' or 'cool it'. Then simply pull out the object the next time she misbehaves and she should remember. This may sound mean but grab her muzzle, put it into your face (clenching it tight) and tap her muzzle and tell her a short phrase, then hit her behind. Show her that you are the master and she is the dog. This may sound harsh, but trust me, It will work. And ALWAYS be firm and talk in a firm voice, no baby talking when she misbehaves. Good Luck :)

Your dog thinks she is the boss and it's her job to protect you. When meeting with people around your dog, you need to set the rules. Give your dog a place behind you to sit and STAY while you talk to the other persons. Be firm about her staying there. Let her know you are in control of the situation, and it's not her job to protect you.

coax it too get to know a person. If someone visits often, your husky might know him better and allow him to get near you and pet her.
