in most states that sell lottery scratchers, you redeem small winning amounts-usually under $600, at any retailers that sell lottery tickets, if it is truly a winning ticket that has not been discontinued-then you have about 3-4 months when the game was over..Winnings amount over $600-
Take your ticket to any Lottery retailer to be checked. Ask the retailer for a winner claim form, your claim receipt and your original ticket back. You can also take your winning ticket of $600 or more to any Lottery District Office to be checked.

Remember, your winning ticket is as valuable as cash. Please sign the back of your ticket in ink and make a photocopy of the front and back for your records. You should also keep the customer copy of the completed claim form. Submit your claim form, claim receipt and original ticket to a Lottery District Office or mail them to:

It could be construed as a deceptive or misleading practice. And there are laws against that. Your wording has to be more specific and accurate. When someone scratches your flyer, they haven't "won $1,000 *** see small print below" they have "won a chance at $1,000 ** see small print below". You are not offering "$1,000" you are offering "a chance". The risk is that you could be sued. Someone could argue that your wording says "you won $1,000" and that's what they now want. Could be interesting and expensive defending that in court! And you don't use what other people did and got away with as your reasoning, people steal and get away with it. It doesn't mean that stealing is ok or that if you try it, you'll too get away with it!
