These are some of the symptons of grinding teeth in the night while you sleep. See your dentist. You may need to get fitted with a guard. It is sort of like what football players wear.

You are probably grinding your teeth and clenching your jaws tightly while you sleep. Try a cheap "football" tooth guard (you know the ones the players put in their facemask between plays) for starters. If it gets better, you may need to see an orthodontist and be fitted with one you can wear which keep you from doing that at night. Some people actually wear them during the day to re-align their jaws abd bite. Good luck.

I have this problem, It is called TMJ. Type it into your Browser and read up on it. I found out this past Summer, after going to an Ear Nose and Throat Specialist. Every morning when I woke up my teeth, normally my Jaw teeth and Jaw would be hurting like heck. I could not figure it out, so I called my Dentist who referred me to the Specialist. He suggested I wear a Mouth guard every night to bed. It really does help and not that expensive. You can purchase one at Wamart..Good Luck

You may have Bruxism. Don't freak - it's not terribly serious. People who have that grind their teeth when they sleep. It can cause all kinds of pain in mouth, jaw, ear (generally your head and neck area). First ask the person who sleeps with you or near you if they hear you grinding at night. Whether they can or cannot, see your dentist. They will look at the surfaces of your teeth and can tell if you are doing that. It's a place to start anyway. Best wishes.
