Quran 7:148 SHAKIR: And Musa's people made of their ornaments a calf after him, a (mere) body, which gave a mooing sound. What! could they not see that it did not speak to them nor guide them m the way? They took it (for worship) and they were unjust.

Thats right people....the Golden Calf MOOOOOOEEED. Now I finally understand the Moses fable, the Quran makes it sooo clear.

I use to wonder how any people could be so stupid to make a calf Idol when God did all this miracles for them. In other words, I didnt believe the story. HOWEVER, NOW I DO..IT MAKES PERFECT SENSE...YOU SEE, THE QURAN SAYS THE CALF MOOOOED.

Naturally the israelites so these magical properties and worshipped it...i mean, what do you expect!!!

One of the Roman emperors, Heliogabalus, has a hollowed metal statue of a bull. He would lock someone he didn’t like in it and have a fire lit under the statue, roasting the person trapped inside to death. Supposedly, there were tubes in the head of the bull so the screams came out sounding like a bull lowing. The Golden Calf could have been something like that, instead of a supernatural event. It is pure supposition to assume that the statue made noises by supernatural means.

I regard the Hebrew account as the most accurate and historical, not a fable at all. From what I know of various calf-gods and bull-worship at the time, they were used as symbols of something that was stronger (mightier) than a human being. The calf the Israelites made doesn’t have to be anything more than that.

They didn’t believe that Moses would return, they felt anxious without some visible sign of leadership or supernatural power, they made a symbol they were familiar with.

I don’t see why it would deserve to be worshipped, just because it made noises. I expect better of the Hebrews than that.

They were stupid, and wrong, to make and worship an idol, after having seen the mighty miracles in Egypt, by which God delivered the descendants of Isaac the only legitimate son of Abraham. Nothing other than miraculous intervention could account for them having been delivered from slavery to Pharoah, and God would not deliver people who fraudulently claimed to have been the descendants of the only legitimate son of Abraham. The existence of the Hebrew race today is proof that they are favored by the Almighty. They are just lucky to have been forgiven.

The Quran would not purely talk concerning the preestent situations of the Prophet Mohammed, yet in addition the previous prophets and messengers. it may desire to have been a teching from which God gave to the previous messengers and so on, yet indexed right here are the qoutes i've got been given. Mohammed is the final and extremely final messenger of God, yet no longer THE final MESSSNGER in this EARTH. Jesus may be the terrific messenger of God to be on earth whilst he returns. [8:sixty seven] For the present Allah has lighten your burden, for He is conscious that there is weak point in you. So, if there be a hundred of you who're steadfast, they shall conquer 2 hundred; and if there be 1000 of you, they shall conquer 2 thousand by skill of the command of Allah. And Allah is with people who're steadfast. [8:sixty 8] It would not behove a Prophet that he could desire to have captives till he engages in accepted combating interior the land. in case you're taking captives, different than in accepted combating, you would be acknowledged as wanting the products of this international, on a similar time as Allah desires for you the Hereafter. And Allah is solid, clever.

That's one of the only religious jokes that I find absolutely hilarious (apart from the Chruch of the FSM)
