You are entitled to the claim moving expenses if they are to change a job in the same field [ You must of course keep all receipts. All expenses must be reasonable if questioned you must be able to document. There is a line on the standard 1040 return. first, consult an accountant, but yes there are tax credits as long as you either moved for your job or moved and stayed in the same field. We moved and the entire thing was deductible.

You might be able to get a deduction, not a credit, for many of the moving expenses if the move meets certain criteria.

And it is not a credit, but a tax deduction. There are time and distance requirements in order to qualify to deduct your moving expenses as well.

yes there is you would need to fill out form 3903. Its not that complicated to do and you can also get instructions for them.
