I last got my period the 23 of December.
Sunday,I got a brownish spotting and then it turned red. When I arrived work I had extremely bad cramps and I was sweating but when I went to the restrroom I had stopped bleeding. I am still spotting .On my first pregnancy I had that breakthrough bleeding. I did go get a urine pregnancy test but it was negative.

I have noticed in my cycle that 1-3 days before I actually start to bleed I will experience what you seem to be decsribing. It wont be near enough for a tampon or pad and I wont even notice it until I use the bathroom and wipe. Then I will notice a light (empahsis on light) pink or pink/brown color on the TP. Thats how I know that I am on my way to starting and my reg flow will begin in a few days. I bled when I was pregnant (the day I came home from the doctor's visit) but it was actual bleeding (like first day of period). It only lasted a few hours and then I had a healthy baby boy so I believe that was implantation bleeding. I think you would be able to tell. If your nervous, wait a day and then take a test. It was probably your period. It is not too early to get a reliable test result. If you're worried, test again in a few days. Good luck!

have you had a period in jan if not you should retest because if you have a norm 14 cycle you would have been due to start already this month if your last period was dec 23 that is
